I dropped off 15 paintings for Spotlight on Art at Trinity School in Atlanta this morning. I am still speechless after seeing the amazing art and artists represented at this event and realizing that I am a part of it! Trinity Schools and the Spotlight on Art event have already made an amazing first impression for me; the volunteers that welcomed the artists were delightful and visibly excited about the art coming through the doors, the school itself was beautiful from the artwork displays to cool educational set-ups outside of each classroom and the inventoried artwork waiting to be displayed for Spotlight on Art lining the halls of the school was exquisite.
Spotlight on Art is not your average school fund raising event; they have raised over $4.5 million dollars in the first 29 years of this special event! Over 2,500 people attend this event every year. The market is open to the public and free; I can already HIGHLY recommend this event for your “must-see’s” after my brief preview and experience this morning. It is an amazing place to find original art (no mass produced prints here!) from emerging and established artists and it is an amazing place to find inspiration for anyone that loves art.
Kudos to Trinity School for their passion for the arts and for the opportunities given to children, artists and collectors through Spotlight on Art! Check out their Facebook page
