I was lucky enough to be asked to paint a mural for Wellstar Health Place’s new spin studio called “The Spin Zone.” If my memory serves me correctly the wall was about 8-ish feet high and 25-ish feet wide. They wanted the wall to be inspiring to participants and to reflect a little something local. That’s where the cyclist, quote and Kennesaw Mountain came in. I am grateful to have been chosen for the project and I am grateful for the learning experience with the time and physical factor (as I said before, it is very different than painting a normal size painting in my studio for a few hours at a time). It was fun working at HP (and not just showing up to teach a class!) and having curious members duck their heads in to watch the progress. Here is the progression… enjoy!
