I found Claire Dunaway through a mutual friend on facebook, and I knew from looking at her pet portraits that she was the perfect artist to paint a portrait of my sweet German Short Haired Pointer, Nora. Nora has so much personality, and is an extra special dog because she is a rescue. I gave Claire several pictures of Nora, and she captured her zany personality completely. Nora’s portrait hangs in my den, and I always remind her how special she is, because she’s the only one in the family who has had a portrait commissioned.

I (we) absolutely LOVE BOTH of our paintings! It was amazing to us how you captured his character and expression in the painting. I have had several people say that they love the “photo” and them I tell them it is a painting and they can’t believe it!!! You are such a joy to work with too! I can’t wait for more Claire Dunaway artwork!

Working with Claire Dunaway on the portrait of my dog, Squishy, was a wonderful experience. I commissioned the painting as a surprise anniversary gift for my husband, and she delivered more than either of us could have ever imagined.

Claire Dunaway is awesome! I have used her more than once and I plan on using her again in the future!!! I recently commissioned her to paint Quita for a surprise Christmas gift for my parents. She really took the time to learn Quita’s personality by asking questions and reviewing several photos that I provided. She kept me in the loop by sending me progress photos along her painting journey. The way she captured Quita’s personality brought tears to my parent’s eyes when they opened their gift.

Claire also painted my two dogs separately and any visitor to my home comments on how well the paintings captured my dog’s personalities! Claire Dunaway is such a talented artist- one who gives her talent, love, heart and soul to the subject! The overall experience from contacting Claire to receiving the final product is timely, enjoyable and so rewarding! Thanks Claire! Can’t wait to have you paint another!
